The greatness of Verdi is detailed meticulously in this bright miniseries/documentary. If you’re a Verdi fan, this is definitely a must gaze. However, the DVD transfer is irascible. It would seem like that the source of the transfer is an outmoded VHS tape. There are sections where the entire hide and audio are chewed up. This predicament occurs frequently in episodes 3-6. Would it have killed Kultur to remaster the source?

On all counts the recent presentation of “Life of Verdi” was a well-conceived and well-executed treat on all counts. What fails us now is Kultur’s amateurish transfer. First of all, viewers can’t skip past Robert Peter’s introductions (which could easily have been omitted but at least she, unlike Burt Lancaster on PBS, could instruct “Verdi”) . Second, the transfer is from a flawed video tape. Tracking problems occur occasionally which they wouldn’t had Kultur bothered to go encourage to the originals. How cheap!! Now peer them remaster it and us who have it forced to resolve whether to earn a whole recent area of something that should have been done Moral THE FIRST TIME!!

This is an inviting, light-hearted, and just search for at India from an American perspective.

I visited India (Unique Delhi) three times this summer (and counting..) for business projects, and I was able to search for this movie twice during the course of my flights. With each viewing I smiled and laughed at the draw the American characters adapted after their first few “transition” days in India, and how the Indian characters earnestly tried to build them feel welcome.

As a previous reviewer mentioned, the movie doesn’t mention the grittier side of India, such as the astronomical slum bordering the Mumbai (Bombay) airport, or the muddy, pot-holed, trash-filled streets and sidewalks of every town. However, it does shows the predominantly sweet nature of the Indian people which IMO is one of an India traveler’s best rewards.

Aside, if you are planning to proceed to India for the first time, select anti-malaria pills with you, a couple rolls of your popular toilet paper, a phone that works in the 091 country code, and an openness of different cultures. Also, sit in the succor seat of your hired car, because the idea out the front will be like a widescreen viewing of the craziest “close-but-no-contact demolition derby” you’ve ever seen. Most, but not all, of these points are implied in the movie.

I recommend watching this movie after your stagger, you will probably delight in the movie more than if you examine it before. If you scrutinize it before your race, fabricate certain you gape it again when you collect aid!

This film is not your typical Bollywood although it is space in India. A sweet and insightful film, it looks at the impact of outsourcing, not unbiased on Americans but others also as we continue our “hasten to the bottom” economically speaking. In addition the ethnic differences are dealt with humorously but effect a point about how distinguished we in the U.S. don’t understand other cultures and how enriching it can be to launch ourselves up. Throw in a fancy yarn (not a chick flick, though), a “hero” that is fair an ordinary guy, along with the titanic situation - both exquisite and painful to survey at times (the conditions of the “lower” castes) - and the movie is very compelling. I objective loved it. Not a “tremendous” as in a “immense” movie, but gigantic in the arrangement that a limited, unruffled yet worthy film is.

I bought Blood: The Last Vampire because I’m not a astronomical Anime fan, but really luxuriate in this movie’s beauty and memoir. Seeing it on DVD, I knew the video would peruse vast on the PSP conceal, and for that most allotment, that’s moral. Also, the movie is about 45 minutes long, so the PSP is a mammoth outlet for it as opposed to a painfully long feature film (I capture to perceive TV shows and shorter films on the PSP because I rarely have long spans of time to devote to PSP-filmwatching) .

Buy,Download, Or Stream Blood - The Last Vampire! Click Here

The awful news is related to the video quality itself. The studio converted the video to UMD as a matted-widescreen version (not distinct of the technical term), so when you first play it, you earn a runt widescreen recount with “gloomy bars” on ALL FOUR SIDES. You must spend the “Zoom” option under the PSP point to menu for the narrate to fit just. A minor annoyance, but worth mentioning.

Also, the black-level is washed out. I’ve found that watching the UMD at the lowest brightness setting on the PSP cloak is most correct color-wise, but with such shapely animation, it’s gloomy to gawk the incompatibility couldn’t be nudged up some. I don’t know if this represents studio laziness, but I understand this is current on UMDs.

Ultimately, captivating and a huge flick for the UMD format, but not perfect.

Your basic vampire is perfectly gracious to anime — fair, seductive, and opulant.

Well, most of them, anyway. Things are a bit different in “Blood: The Last Vampire,” an anime movie that bravely throws out most of the vampire preconceptions, as well as state exposition. It’s not a total success storywise, but it’s an effectively murky, irritable part of bloody action.

As the movie opens, we peruse a mysterious young girl, Saya, on a yelp. When the lights go out, she savagely attacks a man at the other ruin of the notify with a sword.

It turns out the man was a Chiropteran — a sort of bat-vampire. When her coworkers approach to elegant up the mess, Saya learns that the Chiropterans have infiltrated the general public — and she has to go undercover at a girls’ high school advance an American military corrupt. She isn’t pleased about it, but goes anyway.

Saya begins snooping around for evidence of Chiropterans, and finds it — a pair are disguised as ordinary high school girls. But when she corners them, a tremulous nurse accidentally gets alive to in the bloodbath that ensues — and a deadly cat-and-mouse game between the mysterious Saya and her terrifying prey.

“Blood: The Last Vampire” is one of those movies where the residence isn’t the overwhelming force. In fact, the precise anecdote isn’t powerful — it feels like tuning into an episode of a weekly TV indicate, without grand explanation for who Saya is and what is going on. And after the first third, the movie is elegant mighty entirely devoted to “Saya hacks and slashes her plot through the school while the nurse screams a lot.”

But the visual presentation is aesthetic — every scenes is saturated with shadows and vague, pale light. And while many scenes are unexcited and almost motionless, the action scenes explode with kinetic energy, splashes of gore, and occasionally a raging fire. And when Saya jumps into action, the entire world seems to hurry up into a blur of violence and splattered blood.

One thing you have to say — there are no stereotypically radiant, European vampires here. There’s only Saya — a cold-eyed girl who looks like Angelina Jolie’s gothy baby sister — and a lot of grotesque bat creatures, with large muzzles and tall claws. The most “human” person here is probably the paralyzed nurse, but we never really accept to know her until the kill.

“Blood: The Last Vampire” isn’t too paralyzed about having a space, but for splattery action and fast-moving vampire battles, it’s a shadowy diversion.

This is the film adaptation of what might be the best graphic current I`ve ever read. There are no words to narrate how noteworthy I worship the fresh comical book so I attended the North American premiere of Tekkon Kinkreet at the Moma in NY with high expectations.

Not only did the movie not fail to meet them but in fact added appealing and unexpected layers to the chronicle. I am an animator; I`m rarely elated with the technical aspects of most keen features but the production on Tekkon is flawless. The animation, character accomplish, backgrounds and camera work are all top notch. The two main characters are rendered in all their complexity and the movie doesn’t vexed away from the deep implications that the unique tale holds within its pages.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Tekkon Kinkreet! Click Here

The movie is faithful to the amusing book and the storyline is basically the same. However, Michael Arias and studio 4C were sometimes inventive, albeit in appropriate and creative ways. The current uniforms of the three warriors that Snake sends to raze Shaded and White are handsome and reminiscent of a Moebius illustration- the final confrontation between Shadowy and the two remaining warriors is held in the amusement park instead of the car-shelter state (which makes room for original dynamic shots) - but my popular shift from the unique material has to be the minotaur sequence. A lot of people complained that the movie is not as gallant as Mind Game (studio 4C`s previous adventure into stout length features) but I disagree - the animation gets very experimental during the minotaur scene showing the thin line between reality and Black’s violence saturated subconscious. I loved the design they communicated the internal struggle by using the graphic language of animation alone.

Overall, Mind Game’s pastiche of animation styles is probably more intrepid but Tekkon more than compensates for it’s more rigorous style with incredibly strong characters (MG characters came off as a slight wacky at times) and a fable that is so salubrious that it hurts. If your eyes are not wet by the time Sunless and White gain separated you are a soul-less fiend and you may want to assume a career in advertising.

I haven’t been so aroused about an anime since Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence hit the theaters; it’s a shame that while it was one of the most primary movies of the year in Japan, Tekkon Kinkreet got very small distribution in Europe and in the US - so do yourself a favor and choose this DVD!

If you like Akira (Special Edition) or Ghost in the Shell, and opinion they were proper masterpieces despite their ambiguous style of storytelling, then you’ll fancy Tekkon Kinkreet. It’s as factual an anime as there ever was: it follows its possess style of storytelling, it has intelligent, even endearing characters, and the art is objective ravishing. It sits comfortably next to some of the best anime ever to reach to the States.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Tekkon Kinkreet! Click Here

Tekkon Kinkreet follows two young boys, known around the city as the Cats, but to each other they are Dusky and White. Sad is a brooding, violent youngster with a gift for taking damage and dishing it out. White is, simply, special; he’s empathic, enjoys life, and has a deep sense of when things aren’t just. He also seems to be magically gifted. That gift, however, has left White an innocent boy, incapable of growing up and acting his age; that’s why Dismal feels obligated to protect the young boy, and the that means eliminating any possible threat to him and White, as well as the city in which they live. Thus, these two have a few enemies, including the Yakuza, some unfamiliar and much alien assassins, and a mysterious creature known by the youth in the city as the “Minotaur.” All the while, the two are continually robbing and mugging those within their city so that they can execute White’s dream of living in a house on a beach….

Yeah, intelligent, I know. But what makes the memoir of Tekkon Kinkreet that remarkable better is the surreality of the whole thing. It doesn’t try to account for much; it doesn’t have to. White and Gloomy can race at colossal speeds and leap ten feet into the air; aliens exist; and a boy has the power to link himself mentally to his best friend. Why? Because they do…. And all the while, it’s as fantastically believable as a well told fantasy unusual.

Outside of that, the art and characters of Tekkon Kinkreet helps to drive the chronicle along. The settings contains so mighty detail that it’s impossible to glean anything. If this was a “Where’s Waldo” drawing, you’d never fetch him. The character art is also elegant, reminiscent of the short sequence in Ruin Bill, Volume 1.

Now, for the one drawback (which many older anime fans wouldn’t even contemplate as a drawback) : this will be a very difficult anime for a new-comer to gather into. The myth isn’t difficult to follow, but it can be confusing and the ending leaves a lot unanswered, as is the wont of anime. Aloof, though, if you have some experience with anime, then you won’t be disappointed. The art is lovely, the yarn is attractive, and the characters are endearing. I’d rate it higher if it were possible. Tekkon Kinkreet is definitely one of the best anime ever.

I wish people wouldn’t write this movie off completely because it is worth watching…at least once. What you heard about Chris Klein is moral. He gives the worst performance of the decade. And I’m not kidding. One reviewer said he couldn’t even scurry convincingly and they weren’t exaggerating. It wasn’t that the script was abominable. The guy was hamming it up even when he wasn’t speaking at all. There wasn’t a second in this film where he showed any acting skills.

Take Chris Klein out of the film, and Moon Bloodgood for that matter, and the movie is actually splendid safe. Kristin Kreuk does a mammoth job as Chun Li. Her action scenes explore gracious and her acting skills are elegant superb as well. This could have been a tall movie for her and launched her movie career if only everybody else around her wasn’t doing such a awful job.

There’s one scene (and character) that should have been taken out of the movie completely. It’s where Chun Li goes to a nightclub to hunt down one of Bison’s goons who honest turns out to be a lesbian. In order for Chun Li to acquire the lesbian alone, she seduces her on the dance floor. The scene is painful to eye and adds nothing to the legend.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li! Click Here

There is some bad acting by delicate powerful all the other actors in this movie but Klein is BY FAR the worse. The action is, at times, very salubrious. The storyline could have been better. The only thing to survey for is Kristin Kreuk. If there was an option on the DVD to grasp out Chris Klein’s scenes, the movie would be far more luscious.

A film people care for to loathe. Game films have no friends. Previous fans are let down and film buffs are insulted. And the frigid guys want the exact thing; but this worth a peep. As a bottom feeder I’m impressed! The relate and sound are the best I’ve seen in a year. And the DTS Loseless is the most remarkable I’ve ever heard. Go ahead and assume you’re better than this film. I’ll devour it for myself.

The film is blooming, cheesy wire-fu fun and mountainous dwelling photography. I was entertained like I was with Dauntless Trio even though it’s processed. Chunky disc, Anime film included.

Don’t pick the Esteem Hina Spring Movie DVD for the special. This single, 45 small Spring Special (affectionately renamed ‘Movie’ by Bandai) starts strong but ends dilapidated and turns the new manga memoir it was based on into a joke.

Instead, purchase this disc for its features. This DVD has all the bonuses that we’ve been waiting for and denied since the series was released, including textless openings and closings to the series, the textless ending to Episode 24, and the textless ending to the Spring Special itself. Calm, the note is attractive steep for honest a bonus disc that has a single 45 exiguous epsiode on it and extras, but we can always hope the ticket will arrive down.

In order to earn tall rewards in life you have to retract stout risks. If there is one thing that the Star Pace universe hasn’t done in 20-25 years its win risks. The franchise has suffered greatly for it, continuing to follow a formulaic arrive that has made the franchise frail, predictable, and for quite a while… Stupid. Not sick, not on life befriend, but D-E-A-D.

Those days are over.

The 11th feature presentation is quite simply the first Sizable Star Lunge movie ever made. While others in the series have been appetizing, there was no definitive movie that stood out, nothing that could be pointed to as something fresh, something special, something that takes RISKS.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Star Trek! Click Here

What you secure here is the biggest risk that has ever been taken in the Star Saunter universe in its 40+ years of existence.

I will not destroy this risk but if you are a fan of the movies at all you will know it when you observe it. Being a long time fan of Star Traipse (I am a Next Generation first and foremost) and having seen the trailer numerous times I figured out what was going to happen about 20 minutes before it did but that didn’t discontinuance the shock when I witnessed this awesome writing decision played out on the astronomical veil. The strongest of Star High-tail lovers (especially TOS people) will no doubt have a lot of outrage at this risk but it was the moral proceed to gain. The Star Slip franchise needed to be shaken up, it needed something unusual and it needed a movie to shock and fear the audience.

Man did it ever tell.

This movie is an absolute JOY to experience. Spock was always my current TOS personality as he probably was for most fans, but I never felt the connection to this cast that I did to Picard, Data, Worf and the Next Gen cast so I really didn’t care what changes they made (and there is another major change that involves 2 characters that you never have experienced before in TOS history) if they were for the better. In all cases these were for the better and executed with near-perfection by JJ Abrams (who might later be revered on the same level as Gene Rodenberry if this re-visioning [this is powerful more than a simple reboot] succeeds like I contemplate it will) .

Since I don’t like getting too deep into spoilers with reviews instead of focusing on the account (try your best to finish ignorant as possible of the epic so its fresher when you ogle the film) I will instead focus on the characters we know so well (and some we don’t) .

True To The Character We Know

Spock (played by Zachary Quinto) - Even though Kirk (ahhem William Shatner) was advertised as the lead of TOS, the exact centerpiece was Spock. The work here by Quinto is beyond exceptional and complements the unbelievable work done by Leonard Nimoy the past 40 years. Quinto plays the character as well as you could imagine and the loyal special thing in this movie is that finally (FINALLY) the half human side of Spock is heavily examined. It is a major share of the movie and no doubt will continue to be focused on in future films. Spock is no more or less necessary to the crew and tale as he always has been. Other actors could do lesser work (they didn’t) but the movie franchise will only succeed as well as Quinto acts. The character is in the best of hands.

Bones (played by Karl Urban) - The gem of the entire movie without interrogate. Karl Urban takes the difficult role of playing not only Bones but Bones played by DeForest Kelley and is he ever fantastic. It’s a complete joy to see his character on the camouflage. Urban doesn’t need to do anything different in future films. You can jabber how hard he worked to sustain the Bones character as he has always been and he hits a home rush out of the park. Extraordinary fantastic wonderful

Scotty (played by Simon Pegg) - We don’t meet Scotty until far into the movie but Pegg does a mountainous job doing James Doohan. Since Scotty was always kind of the “middle” character on the exhibit where he wasn’t wasted but wasn’t the tops (Spock, Kirk, Bones) all Pegg had to do was do a ample Scotty and hopefully the script-writers would give him more to do. This is the case here.

Revisions And Improvements Made

Kirk (played by Chris Pine) - No longer do we secure the ultra womanizing, overacting of Kirk/William Shatner but we earn instead a focus on the risk-taking side of Kirk and this is the Kirk that I could truly learn to appreciate. Over and over again we gaze why Kirk in Star Slither canon is revered so distinguished and his remove no prisoners arrive is build on the front burner all throughout this film. Pine is confident and does a amazing job. I don’t care how revered Shatner is, the writers got it proper with this re-visioning of Kirk and it’s thumbs up all the scheme.

Sulu (played by John Cho) - Not powerful to say here. Cho was magnificent but nothing astonishing in his performance. Sulu fights a puny bit but hopefully more focus can be made on him in the future, no problems here but nothing jumps out.

Uhura (played by Zoe Saldana) - As a communications officer her role is Noteworthy better in this re-visioning. She is given more vivid input by the script-writers but the one major canon change of Uhura (which I can’t go into detail in this review) I am tranquil trying to settle how I feel about. Her mod is the 2nd biggest risk/mod taken in the movie.

Complete Rewrite

Chekov (played by Anton Yeltin) - Except for being Russian and making fun of his thick accent this is a completely novel character and man was this a serious improvement. Instead of the bumbling doofus that really doesn’t do anything now Chekov is a ultra-young uber-intelligent officer that plays pivotal parts in the movie. Yes this was a serious canon change but I can’t imagine how any fan wouldn’t approve because now you have a proper character you can be emotionally attached to.

New Characters

Nero (played by Eric Bana) - Bana instantly becomes one of the main villains in Star Scoot lore and in my concept because of events in the movie he now becomes THE single villain in Star Wobble history. I wish Nero could have been on the mask more but with only 2 hours and so many people to regain on the veil I contemplate the fair balance was struck.

Old Friends

XXX - You will know who this is when you notice them. I have no complaints other than one voice-over fragment where the narration seems a bit comic and uninspired but I also reflect this is because of the circumstance how they are speaking. This musty friend was a +++ to the movie and not impartial a ploy to score people in the seats. A welcome addition to the movie and spot.

Intangibles

Bridge - The unusual bridge is the most delicate bridge you will ever contemplate. Some say it looks ‘too sexy’ or ‘too bright’ but THIS is how the bridge should have always looked. Please please please don’t change it for the future films. You have already achieved the perfect study.

Score - The one downside of the movie. The 3rd trailer featured some of the most beautiful background earn ever and my hopes were very high. The acquire that is featured in the movie is serviceable but doesn’t inspire. I was disappointed with the ruin result. It’s alright but it could have been so considerable more.

IMO ‘Star Trek’ achieves what only 1 Star Dawdle movie (IV - The Voyage Home) came halt to doing and that is being a successful film to the general public, not unprejudiced Star Scramble fans in general. This is the quickest 2 hours you will consume this summer and an absolute joy. I can watch several movies being made with this cast and I hope several are made. The events of this film design for a realistic advance to the unusual cast working anew in these fresh revisions. As the movie ended I wished I could depart ahead 2-3 years in time to ogle the next chapter and the next and the next.

Everyone likes to unsuitable the movies in order and I knew 1 hour in this was EASILY (stamp I don’t even flinch when I say EASILY EASILY EASILY) the greatest Star Straggle movie ever made. You know a movie succeeds when a character or a movie itself feels like candy for the brain (last year Heath Ledgers Joker was the ultimate ‘candy’) and this is some yummy candy.

If you are a Star Lunge fan go examine it and try to have an commence mind for what you will glimpse. Many will be stunning with the changes made. For the ones that aren’t would you rather have changes and recent Star Stagger movies or the same traditional same dilapidated that had ruined the franchise for so long (kudos to Rick Berman as the official murderer of ST)??? If you are objective a person that loves movies you (yes YOU) can even savor Star Lumber as this movie has been produced not impartial for the Trekkie but the every day Joe and Jane.

***** HIGHEST POSSIBLE RECOMMENDATION

I spent two hours on a wonderfully sunny Saturday afternoon to look Star Stagger and it was worth every minute/penny. Color me impressed. If you’re familiar with the series then you’ll probably view several characters you know, impartial in a younger form:

If you haven’t seen the series though then apprehension not because that’s definitely not a pre-requisite. Other than saying that this movie is a pre-quel to the approved passe school iteration of the series, there’s not noteworthy I can say that without spoiling the really fun location. Having only seen a few episodes of the fresh series though, I walked out not only glowing impressed and delighted but I actually wanted to spy up worn episodes (which are available legally online at Hulu and TV.com and others) because it got me really keen in the show’s storyline. From talking to my friend who was a fan of the series, I’m not distinct how well the position fits in with the series that succeeds it, but I have a theory that I can’t piece without spoiling the movie. Anyway, there were several nods to the series to give fans that giddy nerdgasm that you can only fetch from being in the know on the series.

Every aspect of this movie was really savory. They all came together to accomplish a genuinely fun movie experience. I consider almost every actor fit their role very well - especially newcomer Chris Pine as James T Kirk and Zachary Quinto (Sylar) as Spock. By the draw, don’t glance at the IMDB cast list because it has a few spoilers. The station had a few minor issues, but I didn’t accept any of them to be dealbreakers. The script was strong, but had a few minor issues (mainly a couple of scenes I didn’t believe needed to be in there) that I didn’t assume were very noticeable. Even though it was more than 2 hours long it really didn’t feel that long and there was an vast amount of welcome laughable relief sprinkled throughout the film. Oh, and the visuals were tasteful and well done. You have to seek information from a lot of CG in a movie like this, and that’s probably the only precise downside to the movie. If you’re one of those purists who hates seeing CG, then you’ll definitely remove stutter with this.

I highly recommend running to your nearest theater to peruse this one. I’m actually probably going to pre-order it on Blu-ray, in fact, so that I can look it again. It’s one of those movies where I can’t pick all the scenes because there were so many astronomical scenes and they were quite dense. I’d say it’s a solid A movie and appropriate for the whole family. There was almost no nudity and no unpleasant language, although the region may be too complex for some kids.

In case you don’t know (I admit - I had to inspect it up), the term “bollywood” is a nickname for Bombay India, where they form over 600 films a year - a number that puts the accurate Hollywood to shame.

For some reason, reviewers on amazon.com always seem to be considerable more advantageous than other sites that have user-submitted reviews. On other sites, like MouthShut and Epinions, most of the reviews on Asoka are generally far less than friendly. Most of these negative reviews complain about historical inaccuracies.

For example: 200 BC predates indigo dye, so everyone in that period should have been wearing some shade of brown. Bindusara had many wives and fathered over 100 sons. There is absolutely no evidence that Asoka murdered his brothers, in fact there is evidence that many of his step brothers were generals in his battle campaigns. There was no Princess Kaurwati and he never married her. Yada. Yada. Yada.

Some people were even offended by this film, saying that it is blasphemy to suggest that the substantial Asokas’ turning point was due to sorrow over the death of Ayra and the lust for a Kaurwati instead of the disgust over the senseless violence.

Well, sorry people, but if I wanted to examine a movie where everyone wore drabby looking outfits, but is historically fair, I’d go to the history channel. This movie IS NOT a documentary. Artistic license flows free!

With that said, I’ll now clue you in on my Genuine gripes about this film. The DVD mask depicts Asoka with an army of extras riding on horseback to battle. This image is obviously there to net guys to rent this movie. But, in actuality, that scene encompasses only about 4% of the entire movie. The other 96% is, more or less, a like narrative.

Which brings me to the valid memoir… I conception that the epic itself was shapely to qualified, and the dance numbers took me by surprise. But, in time, I came to devour them if only for the breaks they provided in this emotional rollercoaster of a film. The touches of humor in tiresome paced parts of the movie helped hold it flowing, but the second half of the movie seemed like a completely different movie from the first half. The overall tone was more forboding and there were fewer song/dance numbers.

They archaic a very rude bit-rate when they mastered the film for DVD. This was so they could fit the entire 170 minutes (although the veil of the DVD claimed it was only 150 minutes long - an error that simply reflects awful quality) on a single layer DVD. The result is VHS quality video. They would have been better off presenting the DVD in 2.35:1 instead of 16:9, where the extra murky location, that compresses to zero bytes with VBR, would allow a higher bit rate and better overall quality and collected be single layer. This would have also fixed a quandary where text is truncated on both sides of the cover. Another visual quandary that could have been easily fixed was white subtitles over white portions of video were unreadable. They should have conventional an outline font. I also did not like the draw they divided the chapters on the DVD. They divided the chapters by the beginning of each song/dance number instead of time based, so jumping to a scene does not work as expected. This is frail by the special features that let you jump to the songs, but the movie keeps playing after the song is through. They could have easily mastered the DVD in such a intention that each song had its maintain chapter, with other chapters based on time.

I have seen quite a bit of Indian film but none like this. This film was so different from the typical “Bollywood” cinema I was pleasantly choose help by it. What was most impressive about the film was the role of Asoka. The character was portrayed with so distinguished dimension and complexity that I felt every bit of his worship, afflict, loss, arouse, and sorrow as I watched. The performance by Shahrukh Khan was astonishing, as if he was born to play this role. The heavenly (and gallant for the director didn’t allow any makeup for the film’s heroine, put the henna tatoos) Kaurwaki, portrayed by Kareena Kapoor reflected the female counter allotment to Asoka. The same intensity and raw passion showed her beget bound through savor, accept, and loss as Asoka.

On first leer, some viewers may be offended by the costumes conventional by Kaurwaki (as it is a bit scant) but the actress carries it off well and with dignity making her fit in well with the historical setting of the fraction.

The beauty and cinematic grandeur of the film was also astounding to gaze. I wish they would have keep it in wide-screen however, as it cuts off a lot of the beauty of the landscape. The whole place is kept simple yet dazzling and mesmerizing, making it believable that such an emperor lived and existed at that particular time. The battle scenes were extraordinary and one of the finest ever seen. It lacked the goriness of the Gladiator but it conveyed the devastation of war fair as strongly.

I can go on forever with praises for the film, but I won’t. Objective prefer it or rent it, it’s worth it. The complexity of the chronicle, the characters, and the richness of the plot and cinematography puts this film on my A list. To top it off the music is handsome and haunting, wonderfully choreographed, even if you’re not into “musicals.” The movie isn’t a musical but it has the typical Indian film music numbers. The whole movie is graceful serious and conveys a strong message of cherish and peace, but subtlely so it’s not so cliche.

Highly recommend it.

After reading many of the other Amazon.com reviews of the “Belief 9 From Outer Residence” DVD, the consumer MUST be aware there are two different companies that are distributing this movie on DVD. The first is PASSPORT which, from all the other reviews seem to say, should be avoided. Apparently the company has their logo visible on hide the ENTIRE movie and featurette which follows. And they also don’t even include a chapter index. The other company which distributes this movie is IMAGE ENTERTAINMENT. This is the version I have and THIS is the DVD to acquire of “Notion 9″. (The camouflage of my version is the one Amazon.com has displayed in the describe above.) The relate quality is approach perfect and the Dolby Digital Mono sound is genuine. And. . . .no annoying logo in the bottom corner of your cloak. While the (seemingly) outrageous PASSPORT version supposedly has a few interviews cobbled together from Tim Burton’s “Ed Wood” press junket, the IMAGE version includes a 111 petite documentary which includes some of the stars of Idea 9 (including Vampira) as well as cult fear directors Sam Raimi and Joe Dante! It’s two movies for the impress of one! So unless you’re a die-hard Johnny Depp fan and NEED to have a couple of clips of him speaking, the IMAGE ENTERTAINMENT DVD is the absolute one to assume. I occupy Amazon.com offers both so unprejudiced beware. And if you’re thinking of buying one from an on-line auction compose distinct you ask the person selling which version they have. I hope this helps.

Plan 9 is honest as dreadful as everyone says it is (choose it retract it pick it!), so this review is honest a reminder for you to consume the better of the two DVDs that Amazon offers of this title.

Do NOT purchase the Passport Video edition…it has substandard sound and the represent lighting throbs between unlit and incandescent through the entire film. Passport Video also included a watermark of their logo in the bottom correct hand corner of the shroud that lasts throughout the film. In addition to all of this, what is advertised on the package as “Note 2: THE ED WOOD Fable” is in fact 40 mins. of cobbled together interviews with Vampira, Johnny Depp, Ed Wood’s wife, and one of Tor Johnson’s neighbors. Sounds okay, but they are actually mind-bogglingly uninsightful and focus mostly upon Tim Burton’s Ed Wood film.

The edition of this DVD that you will want to acquire is the Image Entertainment version that includes the 111 min. documentary “Flying Saucers Over Hollywood” (which is a astonishing addition) . This DVD has broad sound and record quality, vastly kindly to Passport Video’s piddly excuse for a quality DVD.

I know that it may seem counter productive to occupy a more expensive release of the worst movie of all time, but you will enjoy the immoral experience of grave robbers from outerspace grand more (and Image Entertaiment’s documentary is tall too) .

I went to see Monsters Vs. Aliens, and to my surprise I was really entertained by the movie and its characters. I will not spoil the story for all of you that have not seen it yet. But I will tell you a little about the story and the characters.

The main character of the movie is a girl named Susan Murphy (Reese Witherspoon). She is about to get married, when she is suddenly hit by a meteor. She begins to grow in size, finally reaching a height of 49 feet 11 inches. She is captured by the U.S. Army and transported to a secret goverment base. She is given the name Ginormica.

The dumbest monster of the group is B.O.B. (Seth Rogen) He is very funny and very dumb, which makes him a very amusing character. He is often saying stupid things at the wrong time (which makes him very funny).

The smartest one of the group is none other than Dr. Cockroach, Ph. D. (Hugh Laurie). He is very useful in their battles against the evil alien villian Gallaxar (Rainn Wilson). He has a nasty appetite for garbage. He was a man who experimented on himself with a machine, giving him the appearence and ability of a cockroach.

One of the coolest monsters among the group is The Missing Link (Will Arnett). He acts like a jock out of his prime, even though he is over 20,000 years old. He is actually very entertaining and funny. He is the best friend of the next character.

Insectosaurus is a giant 300 foot tall fuzzy larva. He is basically a parody of Mothra mostly, with a hint of Godzilla as well. Insectosaurus’ best friend is the Missing Link, but the giant is willing to put its life on the line to protect his friends, especially Susan. Another great character of the team.

The plot of Monsters Vs. Aliens is predictable, but the movie makes up for it my being very funny and action packed! It is a great family movie and will entertain all ages. So, if you are looking for an entertaing treat of a movie, then go see Monsters Vs. Aliens.

P.S., If you are a Godzilla fan, go see this movie. Insectosaurus does something that might intrest all of you Mothra fans out there. Anyways, Monsters Vs. Aliens is a good movie. Go see it and enjoy the show.

News Reporter: “Once again, a UFO has landed in America, the only country UFOs ever seem to land in.”

Short Attention Span Summary (SASS):

1. Star studded cast lights up the screen (or at least their voices do) in a funny and action-packed computer-animated film from Dreamworks.

2. Reese Witherspoon is Susan Murphy, a sweet home Modesto girl who doesn’t realize her true worth until she gets hit by a meteor. . .

3. . . . on her wedding day

4. The casting people outdo themselves with Seth Rogen as a brainless blob, Hugh Laurie as a mad doctor with the ethics of a cockroach, Rainn Wilson as an evil alien and Stephen Colbert as the President of the United States.

5. Think of a bigger, better Mars Attacks! and Spaceballs.

When an evil alien targets Earth as a source of “quantonium”, the Government has only one option, and that is to call out the monsters under the command and supervision of General W. R. Monger (Keifer Sutherland).

General W.R. Monger: “This place is an X-file wrapped in a cover-up and deep-fried in a government conspiracy.”

Other star vocal talent includes Will Arnett, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Jeffrey Tambor, Renee Zellweger and John Krasinski, among others.

The plot itself may not be a classic, but the animation and casting make it a movie you’ll want to have in your collection.

Recommended, naturally, for fans of superior computer animation, monsters and aliens.

The President of the United States: “Boys, set the terror level at code brown, ’cause I need to change my pants.”
